How to tame curly brows

There are many hair removal methods, but are you sure you know the right one for you? On the other hand, making mistakes is pretty easy when it comes to eyebrows. Sometimes just take it off too a little more hair to create an unsightly hole or completely change the shape of the eyebrows. It is forbidden to be scared though! Step by step, with our guide, you will be able to carefully depilate your curly and rebellious eyebrows!

Comb

First, stand in front of the mirror and comb your eyebrows. This is a step that may seem superfluous to you, but in reality it is essential to proceed with hair removal. Use a interdental brush ad hoc or the brush of an old mascara after having cleaned it thoroughly. Comb the brow bone upwards, bringing the hair outwards. This will make it easier for you to spot out-of-place hairs and at the same time define your arch.

Study the proportions

To depilate curly eyebrows it is important to understand what it is like the structure of the arch, that is, where it begins and where it ends. So arm yourself with a pencil to outline the main points of the eyebrows: the start, the top angle and the end. Place the pencil vertically right in the corner of the nostril: when the tip of the pencil perfectly crosses the eyebrows, the so-called starting point is defined.

To find the final one, on the other hand, you will have to marry the pencil towards the outer corner of the eye, always keeping it placed on the nostril. The arch instead you will find it by passing the pencil through the center of the eye. The point identified will be the highest point where the eyebrows will have a gentle and natural curl.

Care for hair removal

There are a number of methods for depilating curly eyebrows. Remember not to be in a hurry and take your time clean up the area carefully. First remove the hairs that are outside the structure you created, identifying the various key points. Then tear them in the direction of growth and never against the grain, avoiding breaking them.

Tweezers

For curly eyebrows you can opt for tweezers. Unlike other methods, this allows for elimination only excess hair, choosing, one after the other, which one to remove. The operation is a little bit longer and more painful, but it’s worth it and the result will be super accurate.

Waxing

With waxing, you can depilate your arch with wax and strips, just like you do with your body. This is a pretty fast method, but it also has drawbacks. First of all there is an increased risk of making mistakes, so you will have to be super careful, plus your skin will appear immediately more sensitive.

Arabic thread

Among the oldest hair removal methods is the one with the Arab thread. A technique recommended for those with very delicate skin, which allows you to eliminate even the thinnest and finest hair.

It is carried out with a cotton thread with which a ring is created to be twisted on itself, giving rise to a point of intersection. Hold the thread with your thumb and forefinger. One hand will keep them closed, while opening the index finger and thumb of the other you will be able to create a movement that will allow the hair to be pulled out.

Mistakes not to make

Taming curly eyebrows, as anticipated, is not easy, but that does not mean that it is impossible. In order not to encounter errors and problems, there are therefore some precautions to follow.

  • Do not pluck against the grain – the golden rule is this: when you shave your eyebrows you must always follow the natural direction of the hair growth. This way you will avoid not only breaking it, but also causing ingrown hairs to appear. The tear must be firm and delicate at the same time.
  • Avoid shaving too often – complete shaving should be done every two weeks so as not to irritate the area. Instead, you can remove the most curly and rebellious hairs on a daily basis, keeping the eyebrow arch under control.
  • Don’t use a magnifying mirror – unlike what many think, using a magnifying mirror to shave your brows isn’t always a great idea. This accessory, which in some cases is very useful, could make you lose the overview, making you remove more hair than you should.
  • Use poor quality tools – from tweezers to wax, remember to always use quality products to pluck your curly brows. A wax that does not adhere well or tweezers with a too thick blade could jeopardize the success of your hair removal.
